What ties us together isn’t a handbook - it’s that we all answer to the same standard, and we all put our names on the work.

I’ve been running ductwork since 2013, when I started CleanRun out of a single van with a Rotobrush and a borrowed negative-pressure rig. These days I’m still the one who climbs into attics when a plenum - the main distribution box - has a leak nobody else can locate. I hold the Texas Air Conditioning Contractor license and I publish the number because you should be able to verify who’s in your home. My favorite jobs are the ones where the homeowner hands me a competitor’s quote and I walk them through why the scope is half what it should be. I keep a collection of the strangest things I’ve pulled from return vents: a full set of 1980s Tupperware lids in Allandale, a graduation tassel from 1997 in Bouldin Creek. The photo record from that job is still in our files.
Marcus T., Senior Installer & Duct Repair Specialist
Marcus joined us in 2017 after eight years in commercial HVAC retrofit, and he’s the reason we can offer full duct repair and sealing as a standard service, not an upsell. Jesse started with us in 2022, fresh out of ACC’s HVAC certificate program, and he’s logged just over 400 residential jobs under direct supervision. He’s certified in NADCA Ventilation Maintenance and he’s the crew member who still climbs into crawlspaces without complaining. Jesse grew up in a 1974 ranch house in North Lamar with original ductwork, so he actually understands what homeowners mean when they say “the back bedroom never gets air.” He’s learning to read thermal camera output for leak detection and he’s already better at spotting disconnected duct runs in attics than some techs I’ve seen with a decade on him. He drives the cleanest van in the fleet, which the rest of us find mildly annoying.
One Standard, Every Job
Every person on this crew works under the H.A.V.E.N. Standard, which is the same in Austin as it is at every CleanRun operation across the network. Haven Standard Clause 1 is written price before work starts - no exceptions, no “call for a quote,” no verbal estimates that shift once we’re on site. Haven Standard Clause 3 is Verified Crews: background-checked, uniformed, identified by name before arrival. The 365-Day Done Right Promise applies to every job we touch, backed in writing, not subject to manager discretion.
The equipment roster doesn’t change by city either. We run Rotobrush and Nikro agitation systems, Abatement Technologies negative-pressure extractors, and we install Honeywell, Aprilaire, and Guardsman air quality components when the scope calls for them. These are trade-recognized brands you can look up yourself, not proprietary labels designed to obscure what you’re paying for.
What does change by city is the ductwork we find. Austin’s clay soil shifts, and we’ve seen more separated duct runs in the crawlspaces of Crestview and Rosedale than you’d expect. The cedar pollen season here is real, and it loads up return air pathways from February through May. Our photo records from local jobs show the difference - a 3-inch debris build-up at the first elbow of a return in Steiner Ranch, a fully disconnected flex duct in a Windsor Park attic that the homeowner didn’t know was blowing conditioned air into insulation for two years. We document it, we show you, we fix it. That’s the standard.
